Apollo Over The Moon Photography
NASA SP362
Apollo Over The Moon: A View From Orbit. One of the best collections of printed Apollo photographs ever compiled. As the years increase since it's publishing date, pristine copies of it get rarer. I acquired one of these and now will share its contents with you via the marvel of electronic image scanning technology. The complete text of this book is online thanks to NASA History, albeit with reduced sized and somewhat inferior images. The actual photos from my pristine copy are recreated in high resolution digital to supplement the visual portion of this wonderful publication through quality images more concordant with the experience of thumbing through the pages of the actual book, with its oversize pages and crisp clear images, several in full color. In the process of digitizing these pictures, some collectors would say that I sacrificed a good bit of the collector's value of my copy. I choose to look at it a bit differently, because now they're preserved forever and accessible to everyone as meant to be seen.
UPDATE
Great news! NASA History has now put my copies of these scanned high res images online at the actual "Apollo Over The Moon" website, you can now experience the book as it was meant to be seen without having to leave the text pages. Let's hear it for NASA History!
