Check it out and see what ya'll think.
been trying to make it professional as possible, and all the graphics and so forth were done by me as well. I think it's a good start.

most of you know I am a master copper craftsman by trade, give ya'll a chance to check out what I do day to day.

wonderful Keith, copper downspouts! whooo hoo!
That's something you don't see much these days.

Most everything is usually PLASTIC.
website looks great - beautiful work!
Very nice.
Do y'all get many requests for lightning rods?
I snagged a pair from an old apartment bldg remodel 30 years ago. They'd gotten some powerful hits. They'd started out pointy and were like melted on the ends.
Just my [Image: 2-cents.jpg]

I have my screen size at 800x600 and have to keep moving the screen left and right to read the info. Not good IMO. If I was looking for copper, I'd move onto another site very quickly because of the hassel of trying to read these pages.

Peace
the people that buy this stuff have broadband and most newer puter screens are normally set at 1024x768.

What are you using Uni, a 13" screen??

<img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/dunno.gif" alt="Dunno" title="dunno" />
No worries, guys with low-res monitors can't afford that stuff!

<img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/rofl.gif" alt="Rofl" title="rofl" />
yeah... that's what I was saying..

<img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/rofl.gif" alt="Rofl" title="rofl" />

Hell, I can't afford this stuff and I make it!
Only thing I quickly saw that could improve the sight possibly,
would be to make the lettering larger at the bottom of the page,
where the selections for "home-products-about us..."
so that they are more apparent to be found.

the copper hood ranges
and exterior downspouts, ...
how do you keep the copper from tarnishing ?
Is the exterior stuff patinated somehow ?
The interior range hoods looked shiny copper,
are they varnished or just polished ,
and what do you use to clean the surfaces of interior copper?

Actually not really.

in certain situations we will ground the roofs, which makes them lightning rods of a sort, but most applications are just decorative/functional.
Not bad a'tall! Perhaps the only recommendation I'd make is that the background be a little darker and no variation in font sizes.

Best of luck with your enterprise! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/applause.gif" alt="Applause" title="applause" />

Exterior copper is going to patina, all there is to it. It turns brassy, then brown, then eventually malachite green. used to take about 20 years to age to green, now takes about ten.. gives it real character

Interior copper will turn a dark buttery gold color and stay that way for years providing you can get people to keep their hands off it, but if it does you can polish it very easily with a number of substances.. we find ketchup works REALLY well, barring that, tarn-x or brasso, or nevrdull..
You can laquer over interior copper as well, it simply darkens the color, but over the years it's been known to spiderweb due to the expansion and contraction. it's best to just leave it nekkid and polish it every year or two.
I also pre-patina and do beaten and cooked copper.gives it a look like old worn leather.. some folks really like it, but tey better be ready to fork over the dough because that's labor intensive

I do interior work of all types, and some of my best work was done before I started keeping pictures..
the very best is yet to come.. I'm working on a house right now that has 5 turrets on it, all copper
and another with a steeple about 30 ft tall,
and another with these giant 60 ft radius turrets/porch roof combos..
"......used to take about 20 years to age to green,

More impurities in the copper these days?
small percentages of zinc ?
or more tin ?
I would imagine it to be zinc.
Or is it a function of more modern day
airborne caustic pollutants in the atmosphere
and
chemtrails !
affecting exterior copper ?
how does rain with HF or SF6-[Any large coal or nuclear plants close by ]
or the Al-F or Ba-F residues from chemtrails affect copper surfaces ?

That is wild !
I had a GF in the late eighties that had a castle on Lake Wa
here in Seattle, and I can clearly see how these are major projects.
her slate roof at the time was enormously expensive,
far more than I made in a year then,
and there were several turrets and towers
with precarious positions to have to work from..

Custom quality is a good business to be in.

Nope, pure #1 copper.

Both a large coal fired and a nuclear generator within 15 miles of each other.
you should see them trail the place!

aerial pharmacology, to quote some chemtrail dude.. (who said that anyway??)
"...aerial pharmacology,

That would be Jim Phelps
http://www.doewatch.com

a former scientist from ORNL

he was with us at PuPPs for a spell way back when.
I corresponded with for a while,
and his air pharmacology is only a part of the whole
chemtrail process.
But his stuff on fluorides,
and global warming was good.
I liked point #5 ......

Sooo... do you guys do chimney pots??? I read a news story earlier today that talked about how arty copper chimney pots are now becoming HOT !!!

...stuff made to look like chess pieces, etc......

Maybe you ought to try your hand at smoke spouting gargoyles !!!
Nice site Keith - clean and neat, with no eye candy!! - good!! I really like your choice of colours - I tend to have a problem in choosing mine.

To get around the varying screen resolution problem:

1. Set the "banner table" at 100% and centre the images - horizon and vertical.

2. Set the "links table" (left side) fixed width - x number of pixels.

3. Set the "content table" (right side) at 100% width.

This way, everyone sees the site the same and no one has to scroll across to read.

BTW, if you are still interested in using what I use, pm me.

Steve
There you are Steve! Happy New Year to you!

Think I about got it nailed down.

Britt Enterprises Custom Copper
Looks good Keith. It's actually kind of fun doing up these web sites.

Here's my one and only project. I also did the logo and banner:

http://www.albertacashregister.com/

Never did finish it though - still waiting on them to submit product info.

Steve
just added this turret cap to the site's images.

You gotta see this.

Two points:

1. I want to see more shiny copper on your main page. Show me something that makes me interested, flashy, showy, neat looking, less text, more wow. Show me fantastic patina also, convince me visually I want copper from the very first time I see the front page. I know so many people who are now too lazy to read but will buy based on visuals. Show 'em.

2. Give me a reason to come back even if I don't want to hire you. Make yourselves the copper resource page. All about copper. How to take care of copper. How to take care of your copper pans. How to take care of your copper thingamajiggy. Qualities of copper. Thickness vs price vs what you can do with it. All about copper mining and smelting and why to use copper and pictures of outrageous and beautiful copper use around the world. What is patina and how long does it take and pictures of how long and pictures of beautiful patina ... and make sure your contact info is on each page. And make sure you have your tags on the pages so people looking for copper info find you when they do a search, and they come back, cuz you have everything all in one site. And you have 25 hours a day to load up your website too. haha.
I'd also like to know what you do to minimize galvanic corrosion. I mean, it seems like you'd have to use all copper brackets/fasteners etc......

Also...as per the above post from ArniK...you might want to include a "Did You Know...?" page on the Statue of Liberty...maybe even some speculation on how a grounded copper roof might offer anti-spyware protection for the residents......
