I need to explain the appearance of the above,
ie.  "overly congested detail".
I was mainly trying to see what was happening at an inner opening in a Juliabulb
and it became very unstable to attempt much experimentation.
Ninja Hmm2 Confused Stars Dunno
I like it!
Bump that prior image here from the bottom of the last page.

V...recently you posted an old image.
I think it was from this artist...

[Image: foldingintpow_9_by_krzysztofmarczak-d38akdt.png]
This next is the result of a Mandelbrot3D
with a "perturbing" 3 number factor
added to the basic formula.
I tried a range of .1 increments from 0->1
added to the first number.
So the initial 3DMandelbulb started "corroding"
through the outside like a strong acid Reefer
thus seemingly revealing the inner structure...

that is amazing actually.
I like that one as well.
when you apply numbers to formulas ... can you experiment?

The Fine Structure Constant often known as 137.0359991,
aslo has an inverse square root alluded to by physicist Feynman
His number was close:

Or Kabbalah 137 ...

I have been swamped with mineral search ... and other priorities.
... even two days a week of filed work takes a lot of extra time and prep,
and I was literally was swamped Whip
out of a kayak yesterday into surging current when I tried to Naughty
bypass the ridge by rowing up the choke point pool.
... good thing I didn't have my chest waders on ...
or my last regrid Hmm2
would have been my last regrid Whip

I know when to be safe,
but shit happens, which is why you never wear waders in a boat.
No matter how safe you act out in the wild, sometimes shit happens.
Safety is my motto.
I like to come home safe, shower, eat and go to bed  Luv

It is amazing how just clothes and running shoes will drag you down into the water depths.
The unexpected surge of water flipped me 180 degrees upside down under water Whip
in two seconds flat.
It will motivate you to swim out hard and fast ... Lol
I said to myself ... don't panic ... then the clothes started to sink my ass somewhat,
and all I saw was Mandelbulb bubbles and I swallowed a mouthful of liquid fractal froth.
I didn't have far to swim,
but I was on stuck on the opposite side against a cliffside climbing on to boulder,
that looked like your last fractal with it's head sticking above the cold water.

suddenly everything looked like a fractal universe of ... what you gonna do now?

The kayak fortunately floated right to me upside down... with no paddle.
My two long hiking sticks were still in there with my pack, waders, and gallon size water bottle,
but no paddle.
You need a paddle in the fractal electric liquid frothing past you.
I was soaked head to toe in between narrow cold canyon walls.
I flattened my gallon water bottle with about an inch of air inside and capped it,
and lashed it to my long hiking stick with a six foot thin rope I carry with me,
and wala!
a paddle. ... other wise I would have to hike upcreek 100 yards and swim across a safe pool,
then hike up over the ridge.
Standing on the narrow boulder trying to empty the kayak of water was a challenge.

The hard work of mineral search is taking longer in physical recovery as well.
It is good to be alive,
and events like the above remind one make one to be grateful for another day.
I rowed out, walked a mile soaking wet,
dried my hair in the truck heater,
changed clothes,
and went back in by foot over the ridge to go get my rock!
I will do a regrid soon.

The inverse sqrt value is closest to the values I was experimenting with
the minimum of .1 .
The default values for the 3 "perturbing numbers" are 0,0,0.
These deliver a symmetric Mandelbulb.
My last image used .9,0,0.
So it's very likely that a small number like the FSC inverse sqrt
in combination with these perturbing values
could have a visible effect.
It would be illustrative to show a series of images
starting with 0,0,0 to show the "corrosion" 0f the original Mandelbulb
because it really seems like the process occurs from outside -> in.
From what I've been reading here...
the Fine Structure Constant is a mystery.
Do you see it having a Kabbalistic connection?
I can see it in terms of 1+3+7=11.
Maybe the shadow Sephiroth will open...
within the CPU as the electrons are driven to match the speed of light.

That rock you risked to get should have Suiseki properties, for sure!

Quote:the Fine Structure Constant is a mystery.

Do you see it having a Kabbalistic connection?

... from a standpoint of pure harmonic code extrapolations ... no ...
and the FSC would be a primary choice value over Kabbalah 137,
when extrapolating or "decoding" any modern constant value.

That argument of connection or attribution goes back decades.
There are a large group of proponents for Kabbalah 137 connected to FSC,
such that it does become a consideration.
Kabbalah 137 represents the FSC in 3 digit code number value ... to the spelling value of Kabbalah,
is about the best you can say.

On another note however,
there is amazing evidence that K-137 was understood by Egyptians at Giza,
and well coded into Masonic geometries.

there are so many numbers to try

try tangent 19.47122063 --- {1 / sqrt 8} ....   or square root 8

100 / 81 = 1.23456790 12346790 1

this one, if it fits any parameter ... would be optimum --- 7.370426887
all I can say is that it is a masonic code geometry value
[Image: MandDEpert2.jpg]
I rotated around the previous object to get a more direct view of the
inner surface of the thickest section.
This was zoomed into......

To explain what is happening at the surface of this inner "corrosion",
again it is like the numerical "acid" perturbing factor has penetrated
like an etching but along fractal contours into minute recesses.
Look at the very detailed areas.
They are also the closest to the "viewer",
while further distant regions (as far as can be seen within large tunnels) are smooth because
of what, I don't know...
This is a Mandelbulb (Malinovski variation with "boxed bulb"
parameter checked...first attempt...sooo......)...

This is a boxed bulb modified to add :
Inversion Factor k=0
Cube Inversion l=0
Round Inversion m=-.22

The last two are interesting from the perspective of symmetry axis.
It's like a 3/4 way mix between chaos and order.
the empty portrait box in the last image is puzzling.
One could insert anything there for visual experimentations.
The third one back looks better rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

So I did an insertion of a small section of third image back into the last box bulb blank space,
and tried a quick pentagonal regrid as an experiment.

large image, but not that large

"...the empty portrait box in the last image is puzzling."

I got some internal clutter reduced enough to leave the square sides smooth,
but there were a few minimal dot patterns left.
I found a description of this formula by Malinovsky
(scroll down near bottom...)

> Mandelbulb DE variations.
The basic mandelbulb equation with z based bailout and few additions. 1st is c=recip(pixel); sphere
inversion of mandelbulb. 2nd is unit vector formula for mandelbulb working just like unit vector
tweak for a mandelbrot. Like for mandelbrot z=z+ factor*z/|z| negative factor will enlarge mandelbulb
and positive will shrink the bulb. Both + and - 1i creates seacucumber shaped bulb.
Non-mathematical function like z=z+z/round(z) having factor 1 generates right angled bulb.
Z=ZxZ/|Z| had no factor ir must be 1. 3rd is z=z*(golden ratio) generating  irregular surfaces. It affects
only last z and bailout, but will increase colour speed. Strenght depends on bailout value, the lower is
the bailout, the more irregular will be the surface.
Added checkbox to use 8th power modulus in triplex calculations instead of normal square modulus.
This approximates the bulb to cube shape, hence the "Boxed bulb".

I edited the post that went with it,
to show which function(Z) caused the square cutout.
Turned out the Golden Ratio function
so far hasn't done anything very clear design-wise.
I had hoped it had something to do with it.
In other words, the cutout appearance is entirely due to
the formula and the variables entered.
I don't understand how that arises within a 3D Mandelbulb,
much less what Malinovsky says about it.
As a frame+portrait, yeah......
Amazingbox...too much contrast?
Perhaps too much contrast ... but the bizarre nature of the amazingbox display,
somewhat allows such imperfections, if you begin to try and look deep into it.
Maybe it's just too late tonight, but the whole dang thing looks like it moves at times.
This fractal programmimng reveals an odd capacity to create ... late 20th C. art media.
Looks like something I saw on a huge canvas at the Toronto Art Museum in 1987.
I'm not sure but I think amazingbox came from mandelbox.

reminds me of this old school electronica...

V...what was your last...the Galactic Golden Globes medal !?
looks like shattered fractal ice , nice!
I might try that one to see what happens.
Now it's like a Chinese Puzzlebox...

I've since determined to figure this out
by reducing several basic variables
such that the last magic box has now become a sphere
which then can be seen how minute tweaks
can lead to a cube,
and then beyond
to the usual unpredictable phantasmagoria...

The above^ image was from rotating the amazingbox 45 deg.
to verify the cubic shape had stayed more/less intact.
I may have to look at the Borg spaceship idea.

I took a previous amazingbox closeup
and transformed it back into a cubic form
with much more precise control of patterns and shapes...

Those are outstanding!
I will definitely work on the the blue one, and maybe experiment with the gold toned one.
... too tired tonite.

The box that became a sphere ... that is actually a lovely image.
It's like a mellow gas giant planet,
Mikey Brown's Planet Nine Ten, out there in the Kuiper Belt.
The idea of a "Directed Deep Dream" has appeared.
Look at this DD/Escher type picture...

See how the contrasting shapes act as a template or sieve.
It seems to be a way of going beyond "single subject" filters
like eyes or dog slugs.
I've seen the same effect produced from base scenes
split between above and underwater.
DD shows separate evolutions occurring within each zone.
This was an elaborate and lengthy exercise combining both boxes in one image.
The color scheme may not mix, but it is an experimental process anyways.
A couple of the splices are a tad off,
and I also performed an extensive reprocessing of the central bluer section of the 9 appendages.
That involved a reconstruct oval that had to be refitted into each appendage,
so you may also see imperfctions in high mag.

huge image at link

The overall effect is  metallic/glassy...
which may have been even more enhanced
by increasing the lightness/saturation of the yellow/orange
within the blue-magenta image section.

I've found that in the gold image
the outer sections can be lifted away from the still intact
and reliefed inner cube in thin plates

Now this next image...
amazing box/Julia mode...
reduced topologically to a faulted sphere.
I rotated it slightly off-center
per the visibility of the indent,
and the palette is to better see
where/how image sections are rotated/mirrored......

are there animations of that kind of "amazing box/Julia mode" ?

I saw a form of art produced once onto a ceramic surface,
where the Vietnamese artist would build up several different colored layers on top of each other,
over the entire surface of the ceramic vase.
He would then etch out different abstractions very similar to your box surface,
and the etching would be to different depths and widths,
to expose lots of color variations over the entire surface.
I did a similar technique with some small acrylic paintings
by using many layers of both same and different palettes
and then sanding through the layers to reveal unexpected patterns.
Someone saw a sample and said it looked like polished stone.

I don't recall seeing any amazingbox animations.
But it's possible to adjust parameters to yield passageways
similar to those in a Juliabulb or Menger Sponge.

I just now  found this amazingbox/Julia flythrough...

what a trip!
A sequence between 1:18 and 2:20 was excellent,
and at 4 minutes with the distant background that disappears or reappears.

You know, ... visuals like this should be start as part of 5th or 6th grade education.
Visual stimulation of pineal capacities.
These types of videos can be used to indicate the possibilities of math applications to young people,
while at the same time these intense visuals are consciousness and awareness amplifiers.

Hollywood wratchets out Disney cartoon or movie epics with razzle and dazzle visuals,
mixed with subliminal behavior manipulation and social engineering.

The fractal visuals induce an intuitive response from deep within the consciousness,
especially if viewed by young students ... let's say 5th through 9th grades.

Visions like these fractal videos used to be witnessed primarily in psychedelic drug usage.
I suppose that the problem for educators / government is that visuals like this,
tend to break down massive education conditioning of children in primary grades,
and they then are bored to death with paper and pencil desk work,
or the computer generated crap that is fed to them as educational advancement into the work force.

Education in the future will be like the event in the beginning of the movie Outlander,
where actor Caviezel has crash landed on Earth in Norway around 720 AD,
and he sets his eye into a computer viewing portal
for rapid and massive generated brain infusion of Earth information,
to include the full capacity to speak and understand the local language.

Fractal visions are FREE to interpret from the subconscious,
whereas the future computer generated massive education infused directly into the mind,
is likely to be highly manipulated for social engineering and behavior control.

You can envision Chinese education factories where billions of young Chinese,
are blinding flash fed supernova experience educated computer generated insta-education,
after the first 6 years of primary grades.

All done ... ready for the university or the work force.

The difference being that fractal visions induce personal experience and universal connectivity
from within the intuitive consciousness,
whereas the computer education implants will have constructs to constrict specific behavior,
and to promote guided behavior to benefit the State.
