My gigapan portfolio
oh, and BTW, I've been throwing one huge blockbuster moon image after another onto my gigapan portfolio.
Many are LROC obliques...
We have NEVER see the moon like this..

The gigapan site ... it does not have an automatic -- sign in memory -- of your password.
I always forget my password and have to slog through the process.
So I kind of got lazy and don't bother to offer snapshots anymore.

but I can always post a copied image.
Not that this is a great snapshot of potential,
but it is quite unusual form in the two odd blocks or fragmental formations,
front and center with the curling overhangs.
Especially the one at the bottom of the image,
with the side wall extending off the right hand side of the large formation fragment.
Keith's gigapan address for this site is supplied in the image.

IS this the same rock with note on it, only they drove a bit past it, almost missing the note? Hmm2   I DID do a snap shot of it.

Sol 1669 data MUST be downloaded with color  Hmm2

Bob, observing posts more closely might be prudent.
My picture was from gigapan 206944,
not 206968,
see image.

I liked this at 206944 as well, bottom left
How the rock on top of the central platformed object, got there like that, is bizarre.
Or is it still attached to rest of what is below it?
You can see the shadow of the rock coming down in front.

Vianova and Keith I KNOW it wasn't the same gigapan.

I went searching for a gigapan near sol 1669...it is THAT Sol that has the rock with a sticky-note nailed to a bigger rock than the one I pointed out.

I placed a snapshot WITH info thinking it might have 'just past' that rock with the sticky note.

Thank you again Keith for doing these Gigapans.

I also see many interesting things in every image, but I'm still stuck on sol 1669.  Maybe a game-changer I dunno until I see it with color and closer with higher resolution.

In the middle of the picture there is a boomerang and there is another thing in there that look like rusted metal.

This  gigapan is just crazy!
Unbelievable detail with high resolution at high magnifications.

I found this in there to be of notable review

and
looks like evidence of water moisture stain?  a slide? on the landscape ... I don't think that is a slide mark.

It's different than the obvious slides on the sides of the walls...
...hard to imagine what sort of fluid was stored in a structure like that......

There is so much going on in this image, even to my (very) untrained eye. I have taken some snapshots of this, and here they are

Number 3, is that an image artefact, or something in the sky? Number 2,4 and 5 look to me to be something artificial that is corroding.

There are very unusual things to see out there in Keith's gigapan.
The frame below the top one is better.
A couple of those huge rocks in the landscape are radically intense.
You know me,
I look at the little stuff more so here are selections of smaller rocks.

http://gigapan.com/gigapans/221311

Unusual material, and that is not a 2 inch pebble,
it is 6-9 inch rock minimum, maybe more. Looks like a shiny dark skin on it.
that one would go in the pack here on Earth

This thing ... could maybe be a fossil.
Or a really nice suiseki collector rock, and I will bet it has good size,
12-14 inches long? more? that one would go in the pack here on Earth as well.

This one is somewhat too far magnified with pixelation,
it was blurry in the gigapan to start with.
What I found odd about this,
was that it looked like somebody came up and brushed it off.
That one would likely go in the pack as well here on Earth.
