Show 'em if you've got 'em!

Ok, 0.25 meters/pixel
This is what i got.
16 pixels in length = 4 meters in length.
12 pixels in width = 3 meters in width.
----------------
So 4 meters = 13.12 feet in length.
3 meters = 9.84 feet in width.

I maybe off by a pixel or two, but thats about what i got from it.
Small by comparisons to other anomalies in the cydonia region i guess.

Hope that is right, pls correct me if im wrong, still learning the ropes so to say.

Thank you Dj for your help. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/worship.gif" alt="Worship" title="worship" />

No problemas. Yep, that looks correct. BTW if you're interested I am working on a solution for preserving these kind of observations. there must by thousands of anomalies out there that sink into obscurity.

Oh, very awesome, ty Dj.
I always wondered where these images go and if anybody ever cared there after. Nice to know they could be stowed away for future reference. & ya, that image i found looks about to be swallowed by the sands any day now. Sad to see it go. Must be alot more, like you said covered elsewhere on the surface.
Thankyou.

To me, the "ruin" looks geometric and buried under alot of sand. If its a trick of light, well cant blame me for trying... But looks anomalous to say the least.

I'm still looking as well. This time I checked out one of those "retired to where the old anomalies go" features.

The Runway (or String of beads) in MEX GE imagery and the MRO CTX imager. Originally discovered in Viking frame 86A08 by Brandenburg and DiPietro.

Here's the original Viking image.

hi,
found this one on:

maybe it is already well known, but to me it was new, so i post it here.

here is the original crop:

looks like a face, doesn`t it?
but only a small one.

the pic is 199x142 pixels, it`s 50.8 cm/pixel,
so it shows an area of 101x72 meters.

hi,

another funny finding on one of the old apollo-photos.

it`s taken from AS11-37-5454HR, a photo that has nothing special in it, at least for me.

i found it quite boring and wondered, why anyone taking so dull photos, except for the fact, that it`s taken on the moon and that this fact had to be documented, even when there is nothing to be seen.
it may be part of a pan-scan, a little series and may be meant just to fill in the gap between much more interesting sites somewhere else,
so this little picture being somehow a loser and a nobody?

then i remembered that article:

Apollo 11 - "I say that there were other spaceships!"

http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/luna/e...spaceships

whether authentic or not, i thought: if there is nothing in the terrain, then there may be something in the skies? so lets have a look ..

  - - -

i uploaded my edited version, so you can dl and look for yourself, it`s 1299 kb.

the brightness was adjusted with curves (15 times, by script, in PSP),
and some sharpening was added, sky only, thats all.

watch at 400-800 %, at best in some program or viewer.
some quality was lost in saving and uploading,
so some brightness and sharpness may be added again, then it will be ok.
watching in browser gives bad quality, at least for me.

enjoy! ^^

ps: a person skilled in mathematics and geomery should be able to calculate size and distance of this object, once the focal lenght is known. ^^

Wait a second!
Now that I'm looking at it more closely I realize that I have seen that image before... in fact, I targeted the very image via HiWish, it's one of my favorite areas on Mars to explore, and I've targeted the vicinity many times via MOC and more than a couple times via HiRise
There's darned interesting geology in the area if not outright monumental anomaly

I thought it quite funny how the preview image on the page has color blockines on it. It's sort of a signature
This means that they know damn well I know damn well what's down there.
I had to target it multiple times for them to just return that image, and the lighting on it isn't ideal for what I was wanting to see- none of the images of it have been
I remember being miffed that it seemed it was being avoided.

rationale is what you make it. I normally pick out possible geological features and explain the image request as wanting to discover their process of origin. It's playing their game to get what we want without them actually having a clue as to what we're looking for.

In other words I'm surely not going to say 'there's apparently a giant sculpture down there' or 'There may be hint of archaeological remnants'
I might say it's a candidate for Mars as art if it's something blatantly obvious obvious, but that's about as far as it goes.

A good one to use for linearities that may be ruinous are 'fretted terrain'

play their game, because they won't play ours.

True ... and I have played by their rules in the beginning and got us a CATBOX along with delayed MGS releases.  I have had several images acquired already with only the rationale that I am filling in the CAAIM.

It IS my intention to make that thing more interactive with scripting in the future.  there is room for several hundred more name-ing sites Q-'d up as it where.

"their game" like all games tires the players, retires the players, freaky ball bounces, refs, owners, fans, enemies, competitors, along with a possibility that at any time the rules may change and/or a single person can influence events completely outside the "game"

Sometimes beause the "game" itself is tiresome even from those playing it...maybe all that's needed is a nudging tip...a whisper in an ear...or someone from the 'inside' to risk "alone n a cell" for leaking or shouting ... the flat fact brutal truths in a reality based zeitgeist.

get your best version of my image used for the CAAIM, footprint it as best possible with coverage,

and SEND it to Dr. Ginny

Tell her I did it and you are filling it in, Tell her your history.
You have toed the line, paid your dues, and you deserve respect.

bear yourself in that manner and do not go over with any sort of speculation or finger pointing at NASA for their as-we-know-it deceitfulness.
You might just be surprised at what a friendly email may get you.

I've been burning the midnight oil to try and look objectively at the anomalies of mars to try and explain them.
I'm documenting my journey on a  facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mars.features

I'm particularly stumped by the amazing patterns in
http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/ESP_016641_2500 see

One thing that is clear is that there just arent enough hours in the day and night for one person to trawl through the hundreds of thousands of images.

Is there somewhere that us anomaly hunters can merge our detective abilities? It would be great if there were say something like a google mars map that cut mars into latitude and longitude grids that people (crowds) could work on. Does such a thing exist?

Welcome open768 to This place.  Here's what I left on your Facebook Page:

First, Thank You for this new feature.  Now, right to the point... in the wake of NSA "politics" I think it is way past time actual FLAT FACTS and PUBLIC requests from MRO HiRise take a HIGHER priority in its targeting and acquisition calendar for the machine.  In addition, the area of Cydonia is ONLY quadrant were Tonka's 2005 USGS map where the legend says "Origin: Enigmatic" Time to send a rover THERE.  In addition to being HONEST about water, life and Astro-Archeology.  IT is time the Secret Teams of the CIA and the National Security State have their entire policies changed to be MORE open and honest, or be dissolved.

As to your point is there a place divided into "quadrants" ... yes

http://www.commonsensecentral.net/CAAIM/CAAIM.htm

Further co-ordination with naming is through HERE in this forum is the ONLY forum I consider honest enough to aid in this naming endeavor.

So HiRise scientists, take my comments in the pure total flat facts of reality in knowing the brutal truth we've never been alone and in complete FRUSTRATION with you not being honest and keeping such secrets.

Again, WELCOME here to the Hidden Message Forum.

Welcome aboard Open768. You could do worse than the "MSL found life on Mars ..." thread in the Hidden Mission Review section. It's not too crowded here like some forums, people post photos they find anomalous and others respond with their opinions and usually we come up with a well reasoned verdict. there aren't many sites where you can do that.
Might I suggest a piece of research along the lines you suggest? The STS29 Shuttle mission tapes are available on the NASA,gov. site - this is the one where the crew have a conversation about an "alien spaceship" - and it would surely repay being shared out and listened to in segments by a team.
There are excerpts and even sound analyses on YouTube but none actually specify the time and tape the exchanges are recorded on. Just an idea.

Open768,
If you have anomalous pictures, you came to the right place to have them looked at.  I would have to say that there is more experience with anomalies on this bbs than on most any other you will find.  Many have been in it since the beginning with good ol RCH.  Some of the members are getting so old you could call us anomalies, hehe.  Unfortunately, many of us have come to the conclusion that until there are boots on Mars, they won't be acknowledged, and even then, I'm not so sure  they will tell us the truth.  However, don't let that stop you from posting.  I love perusing new pics and finding things that have been overlooked, as do many members.

Dear Robert Williams,

HiRISE images have been acquired and released for one or more of your suggested targets. The data are now available on the HiRISE website at the urls listed below.

Note: The descriptions you entered for your suggested targets are listed below, however, the official image descriptions maintained by the HiRISE Team may differ.  The HiRISE Team tries to make the official image descriptions consistent with the current Mars nomenclature and the geologic features found in the images.
