Sunshine
Mine Now.

Quote:I was lying on the grass on sunday morning of last week
indulging in my self defeats
my mind was thugged, all laced and bugged, all twisted round and beat
uncomfortable three feet deep
now the fuzzy stare from not being there on a confusing morning week
impaired my tribal lunar-speak
and of course you can't become if you only say what you would have done
so i missed a million miles of fun

i know it's up for me
if you steal my sunshine
making sure i'm not in too deep
if you steal my sunshine
keeping versed and on my feet
if you steal my sunshine

i was frying on the bench slide in the park across the street
l-a-t-e-r that week
my sticky paws were into making straws out of big fat slurpy treats
an incredible eight foot heap
now the funny glare to pay a gleaming tear in a staring under heat
involved an under usual feat
and i'm not only among but i invite who i want to come
so i missed a million miles of fun

i know it's up for me
if you steal my sunshine
making sure i'm not in too deep
if you steal my sunshine
keeping versed and on my feet
if you steal my sunshine

i know it's done for me
if you steal my sunshine
not something hard to see
if you steal my sunshine
keeping dumb and built to beat
if you steal my sunshine

my sunshine
if you steal my sunshine

History of the Original Boundary of the District of Columbia
http://www.dcdar.org/BoundaryStones.htm

In 1791, after years of controversy and debate over the location of the permanent Seat of Government, President Washington issued a proclamation giving the exact boundaries of the "district for the permanent seat of government." By late June of 1791 of that year, all of the landowners had signed the necessary deeds.

The mile markers of the original boundary of the District of Columbia were put in place from 1791 - 1792 by Andrew Ellicott. The south corner stone was ceremoniously laid at Jones' Point on April 15, 1791. Larger stones are laid at the North, South, East and West corners of the original ten-mile square.

In 1846, the Federal Government returned to the state of Virginia the thirty-three(33) square miles of land to Virginia the State had ceded to the Federal Government in 1789. Fourteen markers, or boundary stones, are still located in Northern Virginia, and twenty-six are located along the D.C. - Maryland boundary.

There has been a gradual deterioration of these historic boundary markers due to neglect and a lack of concern. Many of these stones have been buried or destroyed.

Background

Quote: In the same way that the Equator separates the Northern and Southern
hemispheres, the Greenwich Meridian divides the East from the West. The zero
degrees longitude line runs from the North Pole to the South Pole, passing directly
through the Old Royal Observatory building at Greenwich in South East London. It is
the basis for timekeeping and navigation throughout the world.

It is, in fact, one of a countless number of meridians in the world - every possible
line of longitude is one - and until a little over a century ago, many different ones
were adopted by different countries for map-making, navigation and timekeeping.

Even today, it can be confusing as there are four Meridians all passing through the
Old Royal Observatory.

The earliest is Flamsteed's, named after the first Astronomer Royal, which was
established in 1675. In 1725, Edmund Halley, the second Astronomer Royal
established a second Meridian.

The third was defined by another Astronomer Royal, James Bradley, in the mid
18th century, and is still used as the basis for map-making in Britain today.

The fourth Meridian was established in 1851 by yet another Astronomer Royal, Sir
George Airy, who set up new measuring equipment in a room alongside Bradley's
original equipment. It is the positioning of this neighbouring equipment, just 5.79
metres (19ft) away, which eventually became the basis for international time. Due to
the convergence of meridians of longitude towards the poles, Bradley's Meridian is
5.9m west of Airy's where they cross the South Coast of England, and 5.5m west
where they cross the East Coast.

As the pace of development and travel accelerated in the 19th century, it became
clear there would have to be a common, world-wide standard for timekeeping.

In 1884, 25 countries reached agreement at a conference in Washington, USA, that
Airy's Greenwich Meridian would be adopted as the `Prime Meridian' - zero
degrees - from which time could be set and from which other points of longitude
could be calculated. Over a period of many years, countries which had not
necessarily been party to this original agreement accepted and adopted the
decision.

So since 1884, the Airy line has been The Greenwich Meridian, although for
practical mapping purposes in Britain (excepting hydrographic charts) the Bradley
line continues in use as the zero meridian. The difference between the two is known
and well defined - and is important scientifically - but for most day-to-day purposes
has no real consequence.

The Meridian Line in Britain

The Greenwich Meridian runs for more than 200 miles through Britain - from near
Withernsea in East Yorkshire to Peacehaven in East Sussex - but generally
speaking, it cannot be seen. It is an invisible line for there is simply no need for it to
be physically marked out on the ground.

However, there are places where it can be visibly identified. The best known of
these is at Greenwich itself, where the Prime Meridian, as defined by Airy, is
marked by the brass strip at the Observatory site - the spot where people are often
photographed straddling the eastern and western hemispheres. Several other
features, plaques or markers have also been placed by individuals, societies and
authorities at various other points along the route.

One meridian marker, The Chingford Pillar, was erected in 1824 on the edge of
Epping Forest on the earlier Bradley line. A plaque on that pillar indicates that
Airy's later definition set the Meridian 19ft (5.79m) to the east - a point also marked
by an obelisk. Like the Chingford Pillar, significant features marking the Meridian at
Cleethorpes and Peacehaven are also based on the Bradley line, as are many
other smaller `Meridian markers' in the country. However, in recent years, new
markers have tended to be based on the Airy line.

you know i work in metaphore / soliloquy

the architect is the answer
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/cy...tId,26335/
the ea origin:

Quote:Ultima designer and Origin co-founder Richard "Lord British" Garriott even worked an EA reference into Ultima VII (1992). Two high-profile nonplayer characters, Elizabeth and Abraham, perform seemingly helpful tasks for the player - but E. and A. turn out to be murderers in league with the player's nemesis, the Guardian. The three items that power the Guardian's evil generators are a cube, a sphere and a tetrahedron - the former EA logo.

This reference in Ultima VII proved prophetic. In 1991 Hawkins left EA to found the short-lived 3DO Company. The next year, 1992, Origin entered dire financial straits and sold out to EA. Yet Origin never sold its soul; rather, EA spent the next 12 years gradually and painfully devouring it. The sad story could be a case study for future MBA students.

Why did Origin sell? It was partly due - brace yourself - to the price of floppy disks.

Changing the World
Founded in 1983, Origin was a creature of the dawn. Garriott had already gotten rich in high school, from a game he coded in BASIC in his bedroom and sold in a ziplock bag. Founding Origin with $70,000 in family money, he and his brother Robert created a culture that prized creative vision and expansive, thoroughly developed game settings. The company later took the slogan "We create worlds."

Origin project director Stephen Beeman recalls, "Origin's cardinal virtue was its commitment to do whatever it took to ship the director's vision. We had a motto for it: 'A game's only late until it ships, but it sucks forever.' If the game's creative vision demanded a megabyte of graphics, and the only way to load that into memory was to write our own operating system - " (the dubious "voodoo memory" scheme Origin created in 1992 for Ultima VII: The Black Gate) " - well, that's what we did, and damn the risk to the schedule or the consequences to the budget, not to mention the programmers' lives."

In recent years, Electronic Arts has taken heat for its sweatshop working conditions, but marathon crunches were a fact of life at Origin long before the purchase. Project teams endorsed Beeman's doctrine: "Sleep is for the weak."

The monte carlo method

Quote:The expression "Monte Carlo method" is actually very general. Monte Carlo (MC) methods are stochastic techniques--meaning they are based on the use of random numbers and probability statistics to investigate problems. You can find MC methods used in everything from economics to nuclear physics to regulating the flow of traffic. Of course the way they are applied varies widely from field to field, and there are dozens of subsets of MC even within chemistry. But, strictly speaking, to call something a "Monte Carlo" experiment, all you need to do is use random numbers to examine some problem.

The use of MC methods to model physical problems allows us to examine more complex systems than we otherwise can. Solving equations which describe the interactions between two atoms is fairly simple; solving the same equations for hundreds or thousands of atoms is impossible. With MC methods, a large system can be sampled in a number of random configurations, and that data can be used to describe the system as a whole.

It is a dictionary definition of the word hypocrate.

Two Squares in the Same Place and registered to 39(2 x 19.5) degrees in such a way that is planet specific.

When Tobias owen ,Soffen ,JPL et. all captioned the image as "HEAD"

does that not perfectly describe the Person who sits in the white House.
The Head of the Nation.

the HEAD of this nation may be a woman soon...that would be cool.
But... <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/butt.gif" alt="Butt" title="butt" /> The reciprocating symbolism is why NASA is such a fuckin' Hypocrate
They are exactly contained by their "HEAD"quarters within the D.C. Square so What is within The Twin Square Complex at site designate: AN?

The keepers of the Great Seal of the United States, the familiar emblem on the back of the $1 bill, want you to know what it is not. It is not a sign that Freemasons run the country, it has nothing to do with the occult, and it does not contain clues to a fabulous hidden treasure.

Wow, that extra feature on the Pentagon is pretty interesting. Maybe it will make for a shot in the arm, I was about to give up The Mysteries and take up yoga or something.

I don't want to get too authorative here - one time I had been doodling all over The Face thinking that a "geometrically corrected" image was good enough for that, and then along comes Lan Fleming who apparently still had to orthorectify the image in addition.

But the angle of the external triangle on the Pentagon does seem to be very close to the angle external to the D&M, loosely based on Enterprise's diagrams in the "Do Geologists Dream of Windblown Sheep?" article

http://www.enterprisemission.com/sheep.htm

In fact, it might actually be the same if the angle is cut through the "dimples" on either side of the upper part of the D&M. (I'm getting about 43.2* on the Google Earth pic of D.C. which is easier to measure since the shape in question still has nice, crisp edges - not sure if I can trust the geometry of its images, though). But that is really nothing more than a rumour started by some crazy guy on the Internet.

Sometimes the differences between Cydonia and D.C. bug me a little - an improved version of Daniel Perez' overlay would be great, because I'm curious about a number of things still - anything interesting on Mars match the location of the Masonic temple, for instance? Or anything in D.C. match some of the smaller attractions at Cydonia (Keith's fishes, the Baby D&M, Mosco's inflated tetrahedron...)?

I was thinking it would be nice if anything in D.C. matched the Crater Pyramid and/or it's crater but I haven't seen anything by just browsing yet. There's that circle of the U.S. Naval Observatory NW of the WH that would make a good crater analog, but I don't suppose it has a corresponding feature in Cydonia?

However, I did a couple really rough measures, +/- 1.5* accuracy maybe, and it kind of looks like the location of the USNO circle may be coordinated from the inverted pentagram hovering over the WH. A line projected from the apex of that pentagram (i.e. from the White House) passing through the center of the NW side of the pentagram might actually find the center of the USNO circle - and a line drawn to the SW from the center of the USNO circle at about 33* S of NE (123* clockwise from N) does kinda seem to land in the center of the circle at the uppermost NW corner of the pentagram.

I don't know why they can't just plop stuff down there in D.C. instead of having to have everything "just so" - "THEN... Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher, so we get the two-level effect with a little path running down the middle." - Masons or no, it would irk me a little to think they do that with tax dollars. Who do we expect to be in our airspace that often that we need to put on such a display?

And, if you take the line passing through the center and N apex of the Pentagon (the one that aims right at the WH, and go another 33* E, it's suspiciously close to finding the Capitol Building. Just more rumours started by some crazy guy on the Internet.

I really need to sit down and do this more carefully, but the next delusion I had while playing with my dinky Google Earth capture was that when I take 19.5* and 33* angles off the E and W sides of the Pentagon and project them north, I hit both the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial.

Someone has to have had the same delusion before, but I re-read this whole thread looking for it, banana banna bo banna.

Hi there Lonesometrail!
You or Tarius should produce a new image.
That is what this place is all about.

Think about it:

If I do an image ...or Keith or Jdub or Bob or any others who've been here a year or so.
That is not biased products but Posters that have been members here for some time would LUV to see your stuff!

KEITH's mantra is :
Show 'em If You Got'em

To the recent members who contribute to the board I say this to you:
Shine!
Fear not and show the world what you've got up yer sleeve.
A massive archive of anomalistic data exists here and it always seeks new ideas.

We are not alone.

The Pentagon and things preceeding it are legacies of Cydonia. The powers that be
knew this and incorporated this into their designs!

Thought I snap this in here like a lego block...fits rite in!

Mike - I have read a few times that most of the NASA space boys are masons.

Is Ken Johnson also a mason or part of that group?

I was looking back through some of the posts from last year - Ken seems to hint at this.

RCH was saying in the Project Camelot video that the Masons = Good and Nazis = Bad.

Not sure where the Magic fits in.

Ken is a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Freemason, which he has never made any secret of. We also clearly state this is the case in the book.

Many thanks for the kind encouragement, EA...

I think I will take it as "put up or shut up" though, and I think I will shut up - that's the trouble with crazy guys on the Internet, is that when they go back to measure things at a higher resolution, things seem to work out differently.

Yesterday I put together a near-perfect mosaic of about 100 Google Earth screen captures to have a higher resolution view of DC to measure, and I don't seem to be finding any of those rumours stated above to be holding true, sorry.

It really was impressive in a low resolution image, though - I was hitting remarkable things that I was not trying to aim for - but apparently it's just not accurate.

The best of both worlds to solve your conundrum is to post BOTH

That way it can show if there is a resolvable match.
If you feel an overlay is innacurate,I think you should demonstrate it.
That is how things get figured out.

Dude, Korea knows we've been sending humans to do a robot's job for far too long already, and in a few short years the dangerous world of high rise construction could be left to the true masters of the craft. By 2010, the Korean Construction and Transportation Ministry hopes to have an almost completely automated construction process in place for high-rise projects that could cut labor costs by up to a third, project timelines by 15 percent, and reduce the number of construction-related injuries on these typically dangerous projects. Of course, an inevitable robotic Jurgis Rudkus will be blowing the whistle on robotic working conditions shortly thereafter. Still, civilization stands to benefit greatly from the accelerated completion of super-sized skyscrapers -- at least until the builders turn on us and convert us into human fuel cells.
