A Reality Check for 2012 and Planet X — Follow The Money
YOWUSA.COM, 04-Dec-2006
Marshall Masters
Could We See Two Suns in Five Years? In my recently released podcast, Could We See Two Suns in Five Years? (now available on iTunes) I put forth the proposition that we live in a binary system and that Sol's unborn twin is a brown dwarf. This proposition is based on current astronomical data, plus the ancient historical accounts and warnings contained in The Kolbrin Bible.
Larger than the planet Jupiter and commonly referred to as Planet X or Nibiru, the return of this object in our near future, was prophesied by the ancient Egyptians, Mayans, Druids and more.
Yes, the title of this podcast is a bold statement, and as such is certain to be scoffed at by self-appointed debunkers demanding proof. There is proof. All you have to do is follow the money, and this article shows you where a large part of it is going.

NEANDERTHAL DEATH
10:27:44 21/02/2007

Did climate change kill our evolutionary cousins?

New research shows Neanderthals may have died out due to lack of food and water from drought caused by a sudden freeze about 24,000 years ago.

At their peak, Neanderthals inhabited a vast area from today's Britain in the west to Uzbekistan in the east to Israel in the south. But our own species of Homo sapiens gradually displaced them and Neanderthals sought refuge on the Iberian Peninsula – modern-day Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar.

Researchers from the Gibraltar Museum and the University of Granada in Spain drilled sediment cores from the sea bed near the Balearic Islands. The cores show the average temperature of the sea surface suddenly fell to just 8°C – dramatically colder than today’s temperatures of up to 20°C.

The rapid drop in temperature could have been caused by cyclical changes in the position of the Earth relative to the Sun. However, other rare factors, such as polar winds blowing from the north, may have enhanced the climate change.

Suppose the Basques are hybrids? Could that explain the O negative blood type?
Frequently Asked Questions I
http://basque.unr.edu/16/16.1t/16.1.1.faqs1.htm
The Basques, origins and language
Who are the Basques?
The Basques are a people who live in a small region (about the size of Rhode Island) that straddles the border of Spain and France from the sea in the west into the Pyrenees in the east. This area is called Euskal Herria (comprising seven provinces, historically: Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, and Navarra on the Spanish side; Laburdi, Zuberoa, and Behe-Nafarroa on the French side). Basques speak a language called euskara, but today only about 25% of the population is fluent in that tongue. Even so, the word for a Basque person, euskaldun, means “possessor of the Basque language.” The Basque population is distinguished physically by a high incidence of Rh Negative factor in the blood.

Where do they come from?
No one knows exactly where the Basques came from. Some say they have lived in that area since Cro-Magnon man first roamed Europe. Estimates of how long they have lived there vary from 10,000 to 75,000 years. Some say they are descended from the original Iberians. More fanciful theories exist, as well. One is that the Basques are the descendents of the survivors of Atlantis.

Where does the Basque language come from?
Just as no one is sure about the origins of the Basques themselves, linguists are not in agreement over the origins of Euskara, the Basque language, either. (In Basque, the word euskara is not capitalized, but when using it in English, it is customary to capitalize it, just as we capitalize the names of other languages.) Although there are theories (none of them proven beyond a doubt) that Basque is related to other languages (such as the Georgian family of languages in the Caucasus, or the Berber language family of Africa, or even the Quechua language of Latin America), so far the only thing most experts agree on is that Euskara is in a language family by itself. That is, it is not related to any other language in the world. It is, therefore, not an Indo-European language (the large group to which English, French, Spanish, and Russian belong).

Scientists discover 'super-Earth' planet
Posted: 25 April 2007 2302 hrs

PARIS : Astronomers reported on Wednesday they had discovered a "super-Earth" more than 20 light years away that is the most intriguing world found so far in the search for extra-terrestrial life.

About five times the mass of Earth, the planet orbits a cool, dim "red dwarf" star located in the constellation of Libra, the team from the European Southern Observatory (ESO) said in a press release.

The star, Gliese 581, has already been identified as hosting a planet similar in size to Neptune, the frigid gas giant on the edge of our own Solar System.

The new planet is 14 times closer to Gliese 581 than the Earth is to the Sun. But because Gliese 581 is so cool, the planet is not scorched by solar radiation. It zips around the star at express speed, making just 13 days to complete an orbit.

"We have estimated that the mean temperature of this super-Earth lies between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius (32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit), and water would thus be liquid," said lead researcher Stephane Udry of Switzerland's Geneva University.

"Moreover, its radius should be only 1.5 times the Earth's radius, and models predict that the planet should be either rocky - like our Earth - or covered with oceans."

"Liquid water is critical to life as we know it," said Xavier Delfosse, a team member from France's Grenoble University.

"Because of its temperature and relative proximity, this planet will most probably be a very important target of the future space missions dedicated to the search for extra terrestrial life.

He added: "On the treasure map of the Universe, one would be tempted to mark this planet with an X."

In 1995, two astronomers, also at Geneva, spotted the first extrasolar planet, a term for a planet orbiting a star other than our own. Since then, 227 such planets have been spotted, according to the Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia (http://exoplanet.eu/).

Gliese 581 is among the 100 closest stars to us. Its "red dwarf" monicker comes from the fact that it is only one-third of the mass of the Sun.

Because such stars emit far less heat, they offer a far greater chance of having planets in the so-called Goldilocks zone where liquid water - and thus the potential for life - can exist.

The search for extrasolar planets has thrown up very few potential home-from-homes.

The finds are typically uninhabitable, gassy giant planets, rather than small rocky ones. Or they orbit so close to their star that their atmosphere is stripped away by solar radiation or, alternatively, at such a distance that they are ice balls.

Two years ago, the same ESO team found a Neptune-sized planet around Gliese 581, and their observations that time gave them a hint that a smaller planet, closer to Earth in size, might also encircle the star.

Not only did they find the "super-Earth", they also found indications of another planet, eight times the size of Earth, that completes an orbit in 84 days - a discovery that makes Gliese 581 "quite a remarkable system," ESO said.

The discovery is being reported in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics.

It came thanks to a highly sensitive instrument at ESO's facility at Silla, Chile.

The detection technique works by measuring the so-called radial velocity of the star.

A planet orbiting around a star produces changes in the star's position relative to Earth. This causes a measurable "wobble" in the starlight, from which the orbiting object and its size can be inferred.

Even though Gliese 581 offers such promise, it would be impossible for mankind to reach it - or even send an unmanned scout probe - using current technology. Chemical rockets generate only a fraction of the light speed needed to get there within a human timescale. - AFP/de

Firestone and his colleagues investigated buried carbon-rich layers dating back 12,900 years and blanketing more than 50 areas that span from California through Canada and into Belgium. They found a slew of extraterrestrial markers, including nanodiamonds, which are formed by energetic explosions in space, elevated amounts of the rare element iridium and tiny capsules of glass-like carbon.

“Glass-like carbon is essentially carbon that’s been melted at very high temperatures,” like those from a comet impact, Firestone explained. They also found elevated levels of the rare Earth element iridium that are too high to be from Earth.

Tipped-over Mars could explain ocean riddle, say scientists

Paris, AFP:
The theory -- derived from photos snapped by orbiters and geological and chemical data sent home by US rovers Spirit and Opportunity -- is that as much as a third of Mars' surface was once covered by water.

Quote:Harvard University scientist Taylor Perron and colleagues say that there is a reason for this discrepancy.
They believe massive volcanic events forced a redistribution of mass at Mars' surface, causing its poles to shift.
One such cause of this so-called polar wander is an extraordinary extinct volcano, Tharsis, which bulges like a planetary beer belly.
With a volume of some 40 million cubic kilometres, Tharsis is 10,000 times bigger than Mauna Loa, Earth's biggest volcano, which rises nearly 10 kilometres from the floor of the Pacific Ocean to form the island of Hawaii.
When Tharsis was formed around 3.8 billion years ago, its huge load would have caused the planet to tip over so that the bulge could be comfortably accommodated at the equator, like a spinning child's top.

Another blow to Pluto's pride: New dwarf planet bigger, heavier
It takes 560 years for Eris to orbit sun

Poor old Pluto! Not only degraded to the ranks of the dwarf planets, now it's not even the largest and heaviest dwarf of them all.

Astronomers who triggered Pluto's demise as a full-scale planet last year report today that a strange object they discovered orbiting the sun far beyond the solar system is actually more massive and larger.

The distant dwarf named Eris, detected four years ago by astronomer Michael Brown of the California Institute of Technology and his colleagues, is a full 27 percent heavier than Pluto, Brown and his graduate student, Emily Schaller, reported. Eris weighs in at just about 36.6 billion trillion pounds.

The astronomers previously had determined that Eris' 1,500-mile diameter is slightly larger than Pluto's, and last year that discovery impelled the International Astronomical Union -- official arbiter of such matters -- to demote the solar system's ninth planet and decree that it must be known forever as a mere "dwarf planet."

Eris is one, too.

Today's report settled Pluto's status. "It's second place at best for Pluto," said Brown.

In their report in Science, Brown and Schaller said that from observations with the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope and the Keck telescope in Hawaii, they determined Eris' mass by calculating the time it takes its only known moon, Dysnomia, to complete each orbit around the dwarf.

Brown and other colleagues earlier had found that Eris' diameter is slightly larger than Pluto's by carefully calculating the brightness and distance from Earth of both objects, they said.

They also determined that Eris' relatively light mass means that like Pluto, the dwarf is probably made largely of rock and ice.

"Pluto and Eris are essentially twins," said Brown, "except that Eris is slightly the pudgier of the two."

"And a little colder," said Schaller -- less than 400 degrees below zero Fahrenheit.

Eris is also really far away, he and Schaller said -- flying on a long, highly elliptical orbit around the sun that takes 560 years to complete. It is about 9 billion miles from the sun right now, and on its closest approach it will still be more than 3.5 billion miles out -- 38 times farther than Earth.

When Brown and his colleagues first discovered Eris, they playfully named it Xena, after TV's warrior princess. In September, he chose Eris, after the goddess of discord and strife in Greek mythology, as its official name.

Brown's team has discovered more than 40 of these objects, which they've given still unofficial and fantasy names like Sedna, Varuna, Quaoar, Easterbunny, Orcus and Ixion.

Like Pluto, they all lie in what's known as the Kuiper Belt, a far-distant nursery for thousands of icy comets -- some as large as the largest asteroids and some no bigger than pebbles. Many are periodic comets that fly inside our solar system and glow spectacularly as they approach the sun.

Pluto and Eris and those objects without official names are all known as KBOs -- Kuiper Belt Objects.

"It is clear that there are a few large guys out there still to be found in the Kuiper Belt," Brown said Thursday in an e-mail, "and we're continuing to look hard, but I think the real area of new discovery is going to be the region even beyond the Kuiper Belt.

"Right now we only know of Sedna in that region, but there may well be many, many more to be found out there."

According to Sitchin's interpretation of Sumerian cosmology, there is a hypothetical planet which follows a long, elliptical orbit, reaching the inner solar system roughly every 3,600 years. This planet is called Nibiru (the planet associated with Marduk in Babylonian cosmology). Nibiru collided catastrophically with Tiamat, another hypothetical planet that was between Mars and Jupiter. The collision formed the planet Earth, the asteroid belt, and the comets. Tiamat, as outlined in the Enûma Elish, is a goddess. According to Sitchin, however, Tiamat may have been what we now know as Earth. When struck by one of planet Nibiru's moons, Tiamat split in two. On a second pass Nibiru itself struck the broken fragments and one half of Tiamat became the asteroid belt. The second half, struck again by one of Nibiru's moons, was pushed into a new orbit and became today's planet Earth.

This scenario is scientifically disputed. However, Sitchin's supporters maintain it would explain Earth's peculiar early geography due to cleaving from the celestial collision—i.e. solid continents on one side and a giant ocean on the other—and would also explain why the Earth is layered in sediments.[citation needed]

According to Sitchin, Nibiru was the home of a technologically advanced human-like extraterrestrial race (called the Anunnaki in Sumerian myth) who were called the Nephilim in the Bible. He claims they first arrived on Earth probably 450,000 years ago, looking for minerals, especially gold, which they found and mined in Africa. These "gods" of the Anunnaki were the rank and file workers of the colonial expedition to earth from planet Nibiru. Sitchin believes the Anunnaki genetically engineered Homo sapiens as slave creatures to work their gold mines by crossing extraterrestrial genes with those of the Homo erectus. Sitchin claims ancient inscriptions report that human civilization in Sumer of Mesopotamia was set up under the guidance of these "gods", and human kingship was inaugurated to serve as an intermediary between the Anunnaki and mankind. Sitchin believes that fallout from nuclear weapons used during a war between factions of the extraterrestrials is the "evil wind" that destroyed Ur around 2000 BC (Sitchin himself claims the exact year is 2024 BC[2]), as recorded in the Lament for Ur.[3] Sitchin claims that his research coincides with many biblical texts, and that the biblical texts come originally from the Sumerian writings of their history.

When Sitchin researched his books, only specialists could read the Sumerian language, but now anyone can check his translations in the frequently contested Sumerian Lexicon.[4] Sitchin's translations have been heavily challenged under linguistic scrutiny.

In a recently published book, 2012: Appointment With Marduk, Turkish proponent Burak Eldem presented a new view suggesting an orbital period of 3,661 years for the planet Nibiru, and positing a "return date" in the year AD 2012. According to Eldem's theory, 3,661 is one-seventh of 25,627, which is the total time span of "Five World Ages" according to the Mayan Long Count Calendar. The last orbital passage of Marduk, he adds, was in 1649 BC and caused great catastrophes on earth, including the Thera eruption. Sitchin has recently put forth his own date in the year 2085 for the next passage of Nibiru, but the date most talked about is 2012, which marks the end of the Maya calendar.

Sitchin has also claimed that certain unusual human genes discovered in 2001 were not the result of horizontal gene transfer from bacteria as concluded by geneticists, but were instead inserted into the human genome by aliens.
