The last three are pretty intense.
The second image needs to viewed from bottom up.

The last image looks like something to seriously avoid in an alien landscape.
It may have lovely colors to lure one in,
but it just might be a better idea to send the drone in for a close up view.

A major drawback in M3D is its limited ability to zoom into a feature...further experimentation is called for......  Hmm2

I tried one of your creations a few days ago,
and just wrecked it into a failure,
which is why I didn't post it.
It's frustrating when one takes an hour and a half spinning a splice through 4 geometries,
and comes up with a pancake of 2D poo foo.
I'll try again soon.

When I get to that point,
I just run the whole thing
through GIMP Dream Smoothing.
That's what I did with the first image of the last four.

Magnified Sphere Heightmap De Combinated with hybrid of Makin and Menger formulas.

Today will be the 8th US Mars landing...
The spherical heightmap is scaled to be just below the hybrid surface features,
showing parts of this sphere through the Makin/Julia portals...

The naming of these images
derives from the fact that they are hybrids
of several formulas and transformations.
They may combine serially, alternating from the first through up to six others,
or as a "DE Combinate" referring to formula #1 combining with a separate hybrid made of the remaining types.
There is also an "Interpolation" method using only two formulas.

That last one is killer.
I had some energy and time tonite to get one done all the way.
This is primetime rock hound jade rescue these last 3 days and 3 to come.
Up at 5- 5:30 AM, on the rock bars by 630 -7.
120 mile round trip commute, back to bed early.
Half day tomorrow.

This one looks nice, 
but my octagons cannot be perfect because my program does not have half degrees.

I made a large pentagonal reconstruction that was good,
but wanted some variety,
and so I spliced these two out of the pentagon.

follow around the circumferential perimeter of the object within the blue background,
in the last image object at 500%.

The next two images are 2 versions
of a DE Combinate of Height Map
and hybrid of (General+Hopf4D +Menger SMT) formulas...

DE (Distance Estimation) Combining in M3D 
can involve one of six methods,
depending on what happens when formula 1 (i.e... Height Map) overlaps the hybrid.
Look at the bottom part of the two images where the cubic Menger overlays  the ground.
In the 2nd image I increased the DE parameter
which increased the ground effect upon the Menger,
resulting in the blurred features.

first shows rendering with all kinds of noise, bumpmapping, etc.,
and the second is running it through Dream Smoothing and Relief Light only...

In post 1963, {a couple back}
the first image has a background I like,
but the primary central object in there,
does not compete with the quality of the central object seen in the second image.

The blurry second image background does not do justice for the fractalized object within,
and the back ground also shows odd stitch lines.

Perhaps install the first image style background,
behind the central object of the second image?
