Next President of the United Fates of America
back perspective: if anything ... he is consistent.

Trump: Putin Has Been Turned Into 'the World Leader'

Quote:Donald Trump applauded the leadership qualities of Russian President Vladimir Putin
this morning on Fox and Friends.
On the new couch with Elisabeth, Brian and Steve,
he said President Obama's lack of action amid the Syria crisis
has turned Putin into "the world leader."

"He has done an amazing job of showing how to lead," said Trump,
adding that Bashar al-Assad is still "solidly in control."

President Obama made the argument over the weekend that Washington pundits
like to grade administrations on "style"
even if the policy turns out to be "disastrous,"
calling to mind the Iraq War.
He argued that initially, the Bush administration received high marks.

Trump scoffed at the notion that the president has made the right decisions on Syria.

"The policy is worse than the style.

What could be worse than our policy?
We're being scoffed at,
we're being laughed at,
our country's going to hell.
I mean, what could be worse than what's happening to this country?" he said.

Ted Cruz scores

Quote:“A Time For Truth” was published on June 30
and sold 11,854 copies in its first week,
according to Nielsen Bookscan’s hardcover sale numbers --
more than 18 of the 20 titles
that appeared on the bestseller list for the week ending July 4.

Cruz's memoir, "A Time For Truth,"
will appear at No. 7 on the Times' list for hardcover nonfiction,
reflecting its second-week sales,
a Times spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.
The Texas senator's book had not been included on the list for its first week,
on the grounds that its sales had been driven by "strategic bulk purchases."

Both Harper Collins, the book's publisher, and Amazon,
the largest Internet retailer in the country,
said last week that they had found "no evidence"
that bulk purchases drove the book's sales numbers.

On Friday, Cruz campaign spokesperson Rick Tyler accused the Times Whip
of "obvious partisan bias,"
and called on the paper to reveal its methodology or else publicly apologize.

The Times has resolutely stood by its claim,
and has refused to reveal its methodology on the grounds that doing so
might threaten the integrity of the process.
